Austin Studios Promotional Video - July 2010
Andrew and Ben approached me about doing the Motion Graphics on their promotional video for the new sound stages at the Austin Studios. Inspired by Marc English's xerox-style design from the early days of the Austin Film Society screenings, I borrowed various elements from flyers, posters, stickers and anything else I could get my hands on and created an homage to that hand-made aesthetic while also focusing on how far the studios have come in the post-digital age. This is a nice way of saying that I used computer animation to replicate the past.
Austin Studios is multimedia production facility operated by the non-profit Austin Film Society.
